Testimonials
“Where do I start? .....from packs to coats to pants to zippers to miscellaneous fasteners. I’m very comfortable referring friends and they’re grateful for such an outstanding referral!”
“My old trusty backpack needed many repairs and you were able to fix all of them, thank you!”
“Excellent repair work! Thank you!”
“I had The Fixed Line repair 2 jacket zippers, a snow skirt draw string and a hole in my sleeping pad and could not be happier with the results. Communication was excellent throughout the process with multiple suggestions for types of repairs and approximate costs on the repairs. Everything was completed in a timely manner and for what I thought to be an extremely fair price. The best part about the whole thing was there pick up/drop off service they do at the Hoarding Marmot, so convenient!! Thanks for adding some years to me gear!”
“WOW! Great craftsmanship, creativity, and service. I have taken two garments and 2 tents to Ryan for repairs over the past few months. Ryan takes the time to do a quality repair while also being creative with materials and techniques to help save you money. I will be going back.”

About Me
MY NAME IS CHRIS
I started sewing in college as a way to make my gear last longer. As an Outdoor Studies undergrad at Alaska Pacific University, I was hard on my gear, most of which were hand-me-downs that had already been put through the ringer. I gained experience at the Alaska Mountaineering School where I guided and practiced my repair skills on a wide variety of gear. I have always found joy in giving new life to a well loved piece of gear and I am excited to share my passion and skill set with the outdoor community of Alaska.
