Anchorage Repair Drop off

We are super excited to announce the availability of repair drop off and pick up at The Hoarding Marmot in Anchorage!

Hey, we get it, Girdwood is far from Anchorage and if your not heading this direction, swinging by The Fixed Line isn't the most convenient. Now you don't need to make the drive (though it is spectacular!) all the way to Girdwood just to get your gear fixed. Instead, stop by the Hoarding Marmot and we'll pick up your repairs for you!

Established in 2012, The Hoarding Marmot is an amazing outdoor gear store focusing on consignment sales of used outdoor clothing and equipment. Conveniently located on West Northern Lights, across from REI, Hoarding Marmot is a smart first stop when your looking to pick up gear for the outdoors.

In an example of how small the world is, Hoarding Marmot founder Dana Drummond and The Fixed Line founder Ryan Hutchins-Cabibi both found their way to Alaska from New Hampshire. Dana has an awesome vision for reducing the impact of our outdoor gear by providing a place for Alaskans to sell gear they aren't using any longer, and to buy quality used gear at a discount. It makes sense that some gear that comes into the Hoarding Marmot may not be ready for resale, and being a local shop people come to the store sometimes looking for advice. By offering convenient drop off and pick up of gear in need of repair, Customers now have one more reason to stop into the Hoarding Marmot to see what's out on the floor since their last visit. They may also be able to get that worn gear fixed up to a sellable state, or simply extend it's usable life significantly.

The Fixed Line and the Hoarding Marmot are excited to partner together to offer even more options for the used gear of the robust outdoor community in Alaska. Merging Dana's philosophy of promoting Re-use, "it’s the first of all the environmentally friendly R’s!" and the Ryan's focus on Repair (an often excluded but no less important environmentally friendly R), we believe we can help get more Alaskans exploring, playing and enjoying the outdoors.

We look forward to this partnership furthering the life of even more outdoor gear, by adding repair to the awesome re-use philosophy that Hoarding Marmot promotes.
