Outdoor gear sits in a weird place. Primarily made from oil, extracted from the Earth; long lasting and remarkable performance materials allow us to go out and explore and experience that same Earth that provided the raw materials. But if we toss our old, worn gear, we reduce the explorable acres by filling land fills and encouraging new products to be produced. At The Fixed Line, we are all for product innovation, but we also recognize the larger picture of consumption that hangs over the outdoor industry.
